

Robert Brandt
Interim President, SVP of M&A
Robert Brandt is a seasoned business executive with more than 35 years of experience leading corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and financial management across complex manufacturing and industrial organizations. He brings deep expertise across the full deal lifecycle, combined with strong operational and financial acumen developed through decades of leadership in global industrial environments.
Robert currently serves as Interim President, and Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Quantum Industrial Holdings, a U.S. based investment firm focused on acquiring and scaling North American manufacturing businesses. In this role, he is responsible for all M&A activities, including target identification, valuation, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction execution. He works closely with executive leadership, operating teams, and external advisors to acquire lower and middle market manufacturing companies in highly engineered metal cutting and forming machinery, metal die casting, polymer injection molding, and precision machining.
Prior to Quantum, Robert spent more than 35 years at Navistar Inc., where he held progressively senior leadership roles across corporate development, strategy, finance, and operations. Most recently, he served as Director of Corporate Development, leading mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments. In this role, he directed valuation modeling, due diligence, negotiations, and definitive agreements, while serving as a key advisor to the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership team.
Earlier roles at Navistar included Director of Business Planning and Strategy for Global Operations, Director of Strategy Development for the Engine Group, and Director of Business Planning and Strategy for the Blue Diamond Truck joint venture between Navistar and Ford Motor Company. Robert also served as National Accounts Manager for the Engine Group, managing Navistar’s largest customer relationship with Ford, and held multiple senior finance leadership positions spanning product development, cost accounting, budgeting, and plant controllership.
Throughout his career, Robert has demonstrated success in start up operations, joint ventures, global manufacturing environments, and enterprise wide cost management initiatives. His work consistently reflects a strong ability to integrate strategy, financial discipline, and operational execution to drive long term value.
Robert holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Operations Management from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. He is recognized for his disciplined leadership style, strategic insight, and ability to execute complex transactions while aligning stakeholders and operating teams.
